Moti Kashi was born in Israel in 1951 after his parents were stripped out of their assets, all their valuables stolen, and forcefully expelled from their home in Mashad, Iran. After traveling to Israel with a young girl and a late-stage pregnant woman, Moti's parents finally resided in a "Mabara" (refugee camp) to live in a tent, in which Moti was born. Three years elapsed until the family finally relocated to government housing at Shapira neighborhood, a slum-like dwelling at the time in southern Tel-Aviv, where Moti was raised and lived until he joined the Israeli army in 1969. After his release from the military where he served as a parashooter combat paramedic, Moti started working in his uncle's carpet store, selling, trading, and installing fine Persian carpets, a period in which he mastered the ancient art of Persian Bazar negotiation.
In 1973, at the age of 22, Moti left his job in the carpet business after being introduced to the diamond and gemstone industry by a close friend from New York. Moti instantly fell in love with the diamond industry and knew he would dedicate his life to producing diamonds. Penniless, Moti started to work his way up to build a successful global business. Flying at nights to save on hotels, Moti roamed the world to uncharted territories, reaching new clients and opening unexplored markets. With unparalleled diligence, devotion, honesty, and charisma, and against all odds, Moti quickly became one of the world's most well-known diamantaires, earning the respect and love of his clients and colleagues alike.
At the age of 28 Moti married the love of his life, a young Jerusalemite woman named Rebecca. Together they brought 3 children, Roei, Aviad, and Menni. As a devoted husband and a beloved father, Moti worked with passion and diligence to improve the quality of life of his family.
By the age of 35 Moti had already established a successful international business, exporting millions of dollars worth of diamonds and gems annually to satisfied clients worldwide. He started focusing mainly on diamond manufacturing, and became an international expert in buying large size rough diamonds, cutting and polishing them into the world's most magnificent diamonds.
In early 1990, as his love for colorstones never abated, Moti started producing color diamonds. Being ahead of the industry, Moti mastered the unique art of cutting Color Diamonds. As one the founding fathers of the fancy color diamond industry, Moti produced thousands of fancy color diamonds, including some of the world's most important pink, blue, yellow, and green diamonds.
To protect his clients and maintain loyal and satisfied clientele, Moti has always put great emphasis on value as well as on quality. "High quality diamonds with perfect cutting is not sufficient if you end up selling your customers overpriced diamonds," he repeatedly lectures his children and other young disciples seeking his advice. As a result of this ideology, Moti built a name for himself as the world's most cost-attractive diamond supplier. With over 40 years of experience in cutting and manufacturing unique diamonds, a network of sources that ranges from rough diamonds coming directly from the mines to second-hand recutable diamonds from pawn shops and returning customers around the world, Moti Kashi proudly possess the world's most famous inventory of Investment Diamonds. Beside Hebrew as his native tongue, Moti is fluent in English, Persian, and Italian, which he mastered during his travels and business negotiations. Moti currently lives in Tel-Aviv, loved by his devoted wife, respected by his colleagues, and admired by his children, who inherited his love and passion to the diamond industry.
